Update from Administrator – September 20, 2022

Sept 20, 2022

Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,

Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center had a new case of an employee who tested positive for COVID-19 which puts the facility in Outbreak Mode. While no resident has tested positive, the health and well-being of our residents is always our primary concern and thus we feel it best to take these advanced steps to ensure for their wellbeing while addition precautions are maintained; All PPE precautions will be followed by our staff. Per CMS guidelines, responsible parties must be updated after any new positive case is identified. With an uptick in cases, this communication may come more frequently.

While we are in Outbreak Mode, visiting can still take place both indoors and outdoors. Our front door will remain open to all visitors.

Please know all staff members will do everything in their power to keep your loved one safe and healthy, as well as to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy.

If there are any changes, I will keep you updated.

Thank you for your continued kindness and words of encouragement to all the staff whenever you visit.

Please know your gracious thoughts, words and gestures are truly appreciated.

In closing, a gentle reminder—masks and eye protection must be always worn upon entering the building and when walking throughout the building. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Stephanie Vitko-Aniolek
