Update from Administrator – March 2, 2022

Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,

Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center continues to be in Outbreak Mode due to 1 staff member who tested positive for the Coronavirus. This staff member received 2 vaccinations and a booster shot. No residents have tested positive at this time.

Visitation continues with all loved ones and visitors required to enter the building with a mask on, take their temperature at the front desk , complete the Covid-19 Questionnaire and wear a mask and face shield at all times while in the building for the protection of yourself, our residents and staff.

Loved ones and visitors are asked to visit only with their family member and not wander throughout the facility looking for other residents to visit.  If you would like to meet with a staff member, please ask the receptionist to contact the staff member who will then meet you in the lobby.

If you are coming for a Compassionate Care Visit or End of Life Visit, Personal Protective Equipment will be issued to you for the protection of your loved one, yourself and all the other individuals who live or work at the facility.

Newtown Rehabilitation still offers Virtual Visits. If you would prefer to visit virtually, please contact the Therapeutic Recreation Dept. at 203-426-5847 and schedule a Virtual Visit.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Please know we all are extremely grateful for your kind thoughts, support and loving prayers for our residents and staff.

Sincerely,
Linda A. Urbanski, Ph.D., Administrator
