Update from Administrator – November 12, 2020

November 12, 2020

Dear Families,

As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.

We continue testing our staff and residents weekly as required by CMS, CDC and DPH. Last week, more than 50 nursing homes across the state reported staff and/or new resident cases of COVID-19 in their centers. Unfortunately, during routine staff testing, we were notified that we have a staff member who tested positive for COVID-19. The staff members is quarantined at home. We are doing the best we can to protect everyone by following the proper infection control protocol. We will conduct additional staff testing next week and resume weekly resident testing, due to the staff results. As always, you will be personally notified if your loved one is positive.

Indoor Visits
• All indoor visits are on hold until further notice except Hospice and Compassionate care visits.
Outside & “Alternative” Visits
• Please know that outside and virtual visitations will continue. We will work to continue to do outside visits on our patio for as long as possible and window visits are still possible.
• Remember that we do offer iPads for our residents to use for video visits, phone calls, etc. to ensure that you and your loved ones remain in contact, as best as you can during these very uncertain times.

Weekly Friday 1 p.m. Call In Connection with Dept. Heads & Managers
All family members and responsible parties are invited to join our Friday 1 p.m. call to connect with Dept. Heads and Managers.
