Update from Administrator – March 25, 2021
Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,
I am pleased to report that Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center continues to have zero Covid Positive Residents and zero Covid Positive Staff. There are 4 residents on our 14 day observation/precautions unit.
Indoor Visits in the front Lobby continue, as well as Compassionate Care and End of Life Visits. For families and residents who prefer to enjoy the weather, Outside Visits also are being arranged at this time.
From a weather perspective, we really have had some nice days. To use the terminology of a few of our residents, they have been going outside “to work on their tans.” Some of our residents have shared that they are “enjoying the warmth of the sun. “ All I can say, is that it is wonderful experience to watch them enjoy the outdoors! Between visits from loved ones and basking in the sun, many residents appear rejuvenated after a tough winter.
Tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., we will conduct our weekly Friday call. We all look forward to speaking with you and answering any questions you may have.
