Update from Administrator – July 27, 2021

Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,

Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center will be receiving a patient this evening who tested positive for the coronavirus. This patient is coming to us directly  from the hospital.

All PPE precautions will be followed by our staff for treating a patient who has had a positive coronavirus test result.

Since this patient is coming from outside our facility, their arrival does not place us in Outbreak Mode. We only go into Outbreak Mode if a resident or staff member tests positive. Visiting can still take place both indoors and outside. Our front door will remain open to all visitors as it has been for many weeks now.

Please know all staff members will do everything in their power to keep your loved one safe and healthy, as well as to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy.

If there are any changes, I will keep you updated.

Thank you for your continued kindness and words of encouragement to all the staff whenever you visit.

Please know your gracious thoughts, words and gestures are truly appreciated.

In closing, a gentle reminder—masks must be worn at all times upon entering the building and when walking throughout the building. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Linda A. Urbanski, Ph.D., Administrator
