Update from Administrator – February 25, 2021

Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying a few days of sunshine and warmer weather.

Covid Update
There are only 3 residents on the Covid Positive Unit.
Zero staff have tested positive this week again! It appears that the Covid-19 Vaccination Initiative is working in this facility and at other facilities across the United States. We hope all of you will be able to receive the vaccine, if you so choose, when it is your time to participate.

Visitation
Indoor Visiting plans are underway. Recreation will continue to reach out to families and offer time slots that are convenient for all to visit with their loved ones. Please know your loved one can participate in an Indoor Visit if they are Covid recovered or have never had the coronavirus.

Residents still on the Observation Unit and the Covid Positive Unit will need to be off those units in order to participate in Indoor Lobby Visits. However, your loved one on these 2 Units can still enjoy Virtual Visits.

The designated Indoor Visiting Area at this time is the Front Lobby. Parking access is conveniently located in the lot adjacent to the front entranceway. Please park only in the lot. The front of the building is reserved for EMS Vehicles and is a no parking zone for everyone else.

Compassionate Care Visits continue. A staff member from Nursing, Hospice or Social Services will contact families whose loved ones would benefit from a Compassionate Care Visit. It is totally up to the family if they choose to participate in a Compassionate Care Visit. All family members are asked to enter the facility wearing a mask. Additional PPE will be provided by the facility for the Compassionate Care Visit.

End of Life Visits will continue to be offered. Family members will be contacted by the Nursing, Social Service and/or Hospice Staff. Visits will be arranged according to times most convenient for the families. All family members are asked to enter the facility wearing a mask. Additional PPE will be provided by the facility for the End of Life Visit.
