Update from Administrator – February 18, 2021
Dear Family Members and Responsible Parties,
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the light snowfall today. Our campus looks really beautiful draped in snow.
Covid Update
Our total number of residents on the Covid Positive Unit is 4. Resident PCR Testing was conducted today by the Team from Griffin Health. Rapid Antigen Testing of our Residents took place throughout the week with zero positive results.
All staff who participated in the PCR Test and Rapid Antigen Test, tested negative this week.
Visits
Our Virtual Visits and Window Visits continue to take place. Please call 203-426-5847 and ask to be connected to the Recreation Department to arrange for a Window Visit or a Virtual Visit.
Compassionate Care Visits
Families will be contacted by the facility for Compassionate Care Visits upon receiving a visitation order from the Physician or APRN. All family members will be asked to come to the facility wearing a mask. Also, they will be asked to have their temperature taken and wear Personal Protective Equipment for the visit to protect their loved one and themselves.
End Of Life Visits
Families will be invited by the facility or Hospice to come to see their loved one if it appears that their loved one may be passing away. The decision is totally left to the family to come to visit or to remain home if that is their choice due to concerns for elderly or ill family members residing at home. All family members will be asked to come to the facility wearing a mask. Also, they will be asked to have their temperature taken and wear Personal Protective Equipment for the visit to protect their loved one and themselves.
Indoor Visits
We are beginning to designate an Indoor Visitation Area in anticipation of being Outbreak Free within the next few weeks. Recreation and Social Services will reach out to all family members to inform them of the start date for the Indoor Visitation Program once we are Outbreak Free.
Call-In Information
Our weekly call will be held tomorrow, Friday 2/19/21 at 1:00 p.m.
We all look forward to speaking with all of you tomorrow.
